Bayani has over 21 years of rail industry experience, specialising in systems engineering, systems integration, project engineering, engineering management, bid process, signalling design and product development. He has also established company-wide technical processes to both international and local rail-specific standards, and has been an Associate Member of the Institute of Rail Signalling Engineers since 2001.
Most recently, Bayani delivered the COM and CCS subsystems for Sydney Metro North West, a successful EOI submission and participated in the collaborative development phase of the TfNSW Digital Systems program. Between 2000 and 2015, he helped lead major Metro/Mainline signalling upgrade projects, including ETCS-L1 introduction in South Korea, ETCS-L1 compliant ATP system in Taiwan, CBTC introduction in the Asia-Pacific, the world’s first driverless freight railway (Rio Tinto AutoHaul project) and the ETCS-L1 introduction (ATP project) for Transport for NSW.

He is also a proven team-player, with a keen cultural awareness drawn from his extensive professional experience in Australia, Asia and the EU.
