Sydney Growth Trains is the centrepiece of the More Trains, More Services program and will provide customers with more frequent and express services.
The NSW Government has ordered twenty-four (24) new eight-car trains based on the Waratah design, meaning more reliable and comfortable commuter services will begin rolling onto the tracks from late 2018.
In delivering the services for its client, CWG provided Project Management services as below:
+ Implemented and maintained effective Issue and Risk Management throughout the Design Development, Rolling Stock Manufacturing, Testing and Commissioning and Handover to the Operator (Sydney Trains) phases of the project.
+ Ensured that project governance protocols were adhered to, specifically regarding reporting and change control and escalation.
+ Led the process of engaging with key project stakeholders such as the TfNSW Infrastructure & Services Configuration Control Board and various other departments within the Transport Cluster.
+ Maintained effective oversight of the Supplier’s delivery performance, highlighting issues and risks for escalation as required and establishing plans for the remedy of issues in a collaborative manner.
