Sydney Light Rail
The CBD and South East Light Rail is a new light rail network for Sydney. The 12km route will feature 19 stops, extending from Circular Quay along George Street to Central Station, through Surry Hills to Moore Park, then to Kensington, Kingsford via Anzac Parade and on to Randwick.
Scope :
CWG Projects provided Safety and System Assurance services to the project. This work included interesting new areas such as understanding and demonstrating how the Light Rail System can be safely incorporated into the city – including the George Street Pedestrian Zone. This involved consulting with multiple stakeholders and finding the best solution to meet the needs of all involved. A good example of how CWG provides pragmatic system safety solutions – not project roadblocks.
