Description:
The TfNSW Automatic Train Protection Project is a project of works to implement European Train Control Systems Technology (ETCS) on to the Sydney Metropolitan Network. Automatic Train Protection is a generic name to describe trackside and train-borne systems designed to automatically prevent a train from exceeding speed limits or travelling beyond the boundaries of its permitted movement authority.
Scope:
+ Development of Request for Proposal documentation for ETCS Level 1 Limited Supervision and ETCS Level 2 Readiness for the Millennium, C-set and K-set Rolling Stock, including:
– Returnable Schedules; and
– Works and Services Brief.
+ Cost assessment of Contractor offers for ETCS Level 1 Limited Supervision for the Millennium, C-set and K-set Rolling Stock.
+ Provision of technical support and advisory services to the ATP Commercial team related to Onboard Project Deed amendments.
+ Lead technical and project compliance reviews of Contractor offers for ETCS Level 1 Limited Supervision for the Millennium, C-set and K-set Rolling Stock.
+ Lead role in the award of the ETCS Level 1 Limited Supervision works and services contract variation for the Millennium, C-set and K-set Rolling Stock.
+ Project management of the design, prototype, installation, test and commissioning of ETCS Level 1 on the Tangara , Millennium and Waratah Rolling Stock.
+ Development and deployment of project controls tools used for accruals and forecasting of project costs.
+ Development of the ETCS Onboard project budget for August 2016 and March 2017.
