Sydney Trains - Electrical Isolation Improvement Program (EIIP)
The scope of the EIIP includes upgrading infrastructure assets over a five-year period to enable Remote Isolation Rail Connecting Systems (RIRC) to operate within the Sydney CBD, including all substations, sectioning huts, and trackside field switches that use in-maintenance configurations.
The EIIP will improve the safety, speed, and efficiency of the 1500Vdc and High Voltage (HV) Electrical Power Outage System (EPOS) through the introduction of improved systems, processes, and technology.
